The Base Commerce platform is configurable to accommodate a wide variety of requirements: From user defined data, to multi-layered security to business verticalization, you can be sure your custom application will be supported.
User Defined Fields: In addition to the conventional information that is appended to a payment record, there are up to eight additional fields that can be added. These can contain anything from a customer number, PO Number, Invoice Number, Product Description, warrantee information, return authorization or any other information that would be valuable to append to a payment record.
Security Settings: These settings allow the software provider or customer to set rules relating to what information can be validated with a payment request. For example, if the address entered by the cardholder does not match what is on file at the issuing bank, should the transaction be declined? Or, for further example, should the transaction be declined if the CVV value entered is incorrect? Should a transaction from the same card, in the same amount, be allowed in the same day?
Multi-Industry: Authorization and settlement format requirements can vary by industry. Industries requiring unique data elements, for example, Auto Rental, Airline and Hotel. Base Commerce can support software solutions which serve these and other specialized industries.
